Orihuela Costa is a coastal region located towards the south end of the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante. It sits just north of the Mar Menor and includes a number of coastal resorts including Dehesa de Campoamor, Cabo Roig, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca and Punta Prima.
With over 16km of varied coastline, Orihuela Costa is a beachlovers paradise with gravel and paved walk/cycleways joining the beaches all the way from Mil Palmeras in the south to Torrevieja to the north.
At the same time it is also the perfect location for golf lovers: within 20 mins travel there are a host of top quality golf courses including Villamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor Club de Golf, La Marquesa, Vistabella, La Finca, Lo Romero and Spain's best rated golf resort - Las Colinas Golf and Country Club.
The whole area is well equipped with all the amenities needed to cater for residents or tourists alike. Whatever type of cuisine you enjoy you will find it somewhere in the restaurants of the Orihuela Costa, be it Spanish, British, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Japanese or any other regional food.
Water sports are available in abundance including wind surfing, sailing and para gliding, and the area is also well equipped with sports facilities including tennis, padel, bowling and football to name but a few.

Area by Area:
Dehesa de Campoamor: is at the most southerly end of the Orihuela Costa and is equally popular for its wonderful beaches and its golf courses. Surrounded by green woodland, Campoamor is a scenic residential area with a wonderful marina at the centre of it's 2 main beaches.
Cabo Roig: the old town of Cabo Roig is characterised by its broad, palm tree lined avenues and landscaped gardens. Many of the properties here have wonderful views across the Mediteranean to the La Manga peninisula. The beach next to the marina is one of the most popular in the area and a huge selection of bars and restaurants catering to the tourist market can be found on the famous "Cabo Roig Strip".
La Zenia:is probably the most famous of the Orihuela Costa's beach resorts. With a fantastic blue flag beach, La Zenia is a popular location for many ex-pat residents and has an eclectic mix of bars and restaurants including the famous "Paddy's Point" Irish bar. Inland of the main resort area is the famous Zenia Boulevard - a huge leisure and shopping complex home to a wide selection of shops and supermarkets, as well as an extensive food court catering for all tastes, and leisure facilities including a multi screen cinema, ten pin bowling alley and a children's play area. The leisure and food facilities are open 365 days of the year.
Playa Flamenca: is a beach side resort just to the north of La Zenia, which is less commercialised than its neighbours. The main residential area of La Florida is located to the inland side of the N332.
Punta Prima: is the most northerly part of the Orihuela Costa just to the south of torrevieja. It is famous for it's award winning beaches. In total the beaches of Punta Prima have won more than 60 Blue Flag awards.
