It is a lovely Spanish town ideally located just 2km from the beaches of the Mediterranean on the Costa Blanca South. The town has many restaurants with an eclectic mix of cuisines on offer. There are banks, supermarkets, cafes and many interesting shops in the town.

Pilar is a traditional Spanish town and celebrates a number of local fiestas or festivals throughout the year, including the Medieval Market in April, Bonfires of San Juan in June together with the floral festival.

The golf courses of Lo Romero and Campoamor are within easy reach of this lovely town.

Pilar de la Horadada enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with cool sea breezes in summer and protection by surrounding mountains against the cold North winds in winter.
