Pilar de la Horadada

Pilar De La Horadada is located right on the border of the Murcia and Alicante regions and is the perfect location to enjoy the very best that both the Costa Calida and the Southern Costa Blanca have to offer.

Beautiful, golden, sandy beaches on two seas, fabulous golf courses, out of town shopping malls, family leisure centres, charming coastal resorts, natural parks, outdoor pursuits centres, modern towns with great high street shopping, weekly markets and cultural & historical attractions are all right on the doorstep.

Pilar is also perfectly situated between two international airports with Murcia Airport only 15 minutes away and Alicante Airport just 40 minutes drive.

The centre of Pilar de la Horadada is a shopper’s paradise with many boutiques, pastry shops, banks and gaming salons lining the main Calle Mayor. After an exhausting morning shopping along the Calle Mayor, why not relax at one of the cafés in the Plaza Iglesia and watch the world go by, enjoying a few “tapas”. There are also many good “Mesones” offering the local cuisine to a very high standard.

Pilar de la Horadada enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with cool sea breezes in summer and protection by surrounding mountains against the cold North winds in winter.

The area averages nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees.
In 1986 the World Health Organisation recommended the climate of the area as one of the most equitable in the world - neither too hot in the summer nor too cold in the winter.

On average it can boast 325 sunny days each year making it an ideal all year round destination.
