La Marina is a small village on the coast just north of Guardamar del Seguro on the Costa Blanca South. The area is famous for its fantastic beaches: there are many kilometres of golden sandy beaches, backed up by dunes and bordering the large pine forest of the El Pinet Nature Park.
The old village of La Marina has a long high street with a small selection of shops, bars and cafes. You can relax on the long sandy beach, picnic underneath the pine trees or take a walk through the sand dunes in the El Pinet Natural Park.
Just inland of the original spanish village, the opposite side of the N332, is the newer development of La Marina Urbanisation. This has been built up over the last 30 years in response to the demands for holiday properties from Northern europeans and contains all the amenities that you may need.
The urbanisation of La Marina has various commercial zones with shops, restaurants and bars which offer a great selection of international cuisine and lively nights out. There is a helpful tourist office, a town hall, a market every Thursday morning, and several green areas one of which is the El Oasis Natural Park which has picnic tables, barbecue areas, football pitch and small man made lake.
